About WSIQ Bids

WSIQ Bids — short for WatchStyleIQ Bids — is a live auction platform built for one thing only: wristwatches, vintage through current production.

Why we built it

I founded WatchStyleIQ to help collectors understand what they were buying — references, movements, condition, provenance, and what a watch is honestly worth. The more collectors I talked to, the more the same frustration came up: there was nowhere good to actually buy and sell.

General live-selling apps treat a Speedmaster like a trading card. Traditional auction houses take weeks, charge heavily, and only want the top of the market. Forum sales and marketplaces put all of the risk on the buyer, with no host, no vetting, and no real-time price discovery.

WSIQ Bids is the answer to that gap. Every sale happens live, hosted by a vetted seller in their own store, one lot at a time, with a running clock and anti-sniping so the last seconds are fair. The host can turn the watch in their hand, show the dial under light, open the caseback, and answer questions before the hammer falls — the way watches have always actually been sold.

Watches only. No sneakers, no cards, no distractions. That focus is the entire point: it lets us build catalogue data, seller standards, and bidding tools around how watch collectors really behave.
